Course Intruction
By using Enriched Air Nitrox (EAN) with an oxygen concentration higher than 21%, we can enjoy longer bottom times and shorter surface intervals.
In the Nitrox specialty course, you will learn how to correctly use enriched air mixtures, the procedures for analyzing oxygen concentrations in a Nitrox tank, and the essential safety protocols for diving with enriched air.

Registration Process
Please fill out the Online form carefully and honestly, especially the Diver Medical Questionnaire regarding your physical condition.
Upon receiving your registration form, the Dive Center will contact you to verify the information. Once confirmed, a course fee of NTD 5,000 is required.
Upon receiving your payment notification, the Dive Center will grant you access to the SSI Specialty EAN Digital Kit (Online Manual). An instructor will then contact you to schedule your training sessions.
You will receive a notification email for your digital materials. Once confirmed, the registration process is complete, and you will officially begin your training progression.
Pre-Course Instructions
Eligibility :
- Age Requirement : Participants must be at least 15 years old. Those under 18 must obtain signed consent from a legal guardian.
- Certification Requirement : Must hold an Open Water Diver (OWD) certification. Please provide relevant proof or documents.
Rescheduling & Absence Policy : Any changes to the scheduled date must be made at least 7 days in advance. Changes made within 7 days or unexcused absences will incur a surcharge of NTD 3,000. This fee is waived only for medical reasons (hospital receipt required).
Course Fees & Open Water Sessions : The course fee covers all training expenses with no hidden costs. If you wish to participate in an optional Open Water session, an additional fee of NTD 1,500 per dive applies.
Refund Policy : Once the registration process is complete, the course fee is used to purchase digital learning materials and is non-refundable.
Validity : Student status is valid for one year from registration. Please ensure you complete the course within this period; otherwise, re-registration and payment will be required.
Required Equipment : Please bring your dive computer to all Knowledge Development sessions, as we will practice device operations during the course.
Punctuality : Tardiness or leaving early severely impacts the course progress and creates an additional teaching burden. Please be punctual.
Transportation : Students are responsible for their own transportation. Carpooling for ocean sessions can be arranged with a NTD 400 round-trip fee paid to the driver.
Training Locations : Training locations can be discussed with your instructor. Unless otherwise specified, the default locations are as follows :
- Knowledge Development (Classroom) : Awesome Diving Center (Zhonghe Dist., New Taipei).
- Open Water (Ocean Session) : Northeast Coast, Meeting Point : Northeast Coast Diving Inn.
Examination Standards : A final written exam will be conducted after the Knowledge Development session. The exam consists of 25 multiple-choice questions. A minimum score of 80% is required to pass.
Certification Issuance : New students must upload a profile photo to their SSI account for the certification. Upon completion, the SSI Specialty EAN digital certification will be issued immediately. Physical cards are available for an extra NTD 1,000 printing fee. The Training Center will receive the card within two weeks and notify you for pickup.
